Chapter Seven

As he walked around the side of the veranda to remove the hot tub canopy he gave up trying to keep the smile of contentment from his lips. He was exhausted, absolutely shattered, yet he’d never felt more alive. He lit the torches surrounding the spa and returned to the cause of his smile.

“Right,” he said as he came back into the lodge. “You go upstairs and grab some towels and a robe from the back of the door and I’ll get us a drink.”

Ana jumped up like an excited child and raced upstairs as naked as the day she was born, her red hair tumbling around her shoulders. Seriously, she was gonna be the death of him. But he would die a happy man.

When Ana stepped out on the veranda Matt was already sinking into the hot tub, steam rising around him as he opened a bottle of champagne.

God, she waivered, did she have the nerve to just strip off? She knew it was silly after what they’d been doing for the last few hours but despite her career she’d never been comfortable being completely naked in front of someone. She’d faced criticism too many times auditioning for jobs in the past. Your boobs are too big, your smile is too wide, too many freckles, that gap between your inner thighs needs to be bigger… Summoning all her nerve she popped the towels on the rail, took a deep breath, and dropped her robe.

And took delight in watching Matt over-pour the champagne as it spilled into the water.

“Bloody hell,” she yelped, crossing her arms over her chest. “It’s freekin’ freezing. Watch out!” She jumped into the hot water in a most un-siren like manner. “Oops sorry,” she spluttered, coming up from under the water smiling.

“Woman, you’re mad, but I love you. Here, cheers.” Crikey did he really just say what she thought he just said? She took the glass from Matt, sipped at it and settled down in the water opposite him. Just play it cool Ana… no big deal. He didn’t mean to say it.

She relaxed her head back against the padded cushion and closed her eyes, mimicking Matt’s position. She felt the thrill of his foot begin to massage her calves and inner thighs, up and down as the bubbles continue to caress the sensitive parts of her body like a thousand little tongues.

She returned the sweet torture but a little higher on his body. To a pervy bystander, they wouldn’t guess the source of the excitement buzzing through their bodies, except maybe from the look on their faces.

He hardened instantly as her toes massaged him, opening her eyes to see Matt’s head thrown back, eyes closed biting his bottom lip. A lip she needed to suckle.

Setting down her glass she reached for him. “I missed you,” she said, bending to kiss him. A kiss which started softly, reverently, but quickly turned more urgent and demanding as Matt tightened his grip on her hips pulling her legs either side of his strong thighs.
